Compression Spring Coiling Machinery

For smaller wire diameters, Whitelegg offer the HIT range of coiling machines covering a range 0.1mm - 2.8mm.

Our best selling compression spring coiling machine is available in three different formats depending on wire diameter and represents remarkable value for money. Robust and reliable, the machine produces excellent quality repeatable springs and is available with up to 5 axis with spring length gauge for checking and sorting the output.

For larger coiling requirements from 2.0-15.0mm Whitelegg provide sales and service for the BOBBIO range of machinery. The Excel range of machines are very sophisticated, durable machines featuring; up to 12 servo axis, touch screen graphic interface, programmable 3 axis diameter coiling control, horizontal pitch device, rotary cutting and optional digital camera gauge for constant monitoring and correction of the spring diameter and length. Two additional servo motors can be fitted to adjust the coiling point position and pre-tension.

Spring Wire Forming Machinery

Whitelegg supply the HERDON range of CNC spring forming machines. These versatile and productive machines are available in three principle formats:

CSM with mechanical set up of the forming slides and rotating quill
RFM similar to CSM but with rotating wire and quill units
HCM with servo control of the forming slides, rotating quill and rotating wire.

High Production Fine Wire Machines

Manufactured in Japan, Whitelegg supply the MEC range of spring equipment for a wire range that starts at just 0.02mm. The MEC range of machinery includes single and dual point compression spring coilers, multi axis formers and high-speed extension spring machines.

Powered Coilholders (Pay offs)

We offer a range of coilholders suitable for coils weights of 60, 100, 200, 500, 1000, 1500 and 2000kg.

All units feature bi-directional drive, auto shutdown of coilholder and forming machine, and timer unit.

Standard operation:

As wire is demanded, the moving arm initiates drive. The speed increases as the arm moves further forward. A speed potentiometer can be adjusted to control the maximum speed.

Continuous operation:

For higher speed applications, a fixed continuous speed can be set. If the moving arm then moves forward, a higher speed will be initiated, until the arm returns to rest.

The coilholder requires a 24VDC signal to be sent from the forming machine when the start button is pressed. This initiates the constant running function.
