New, Compact MEP Pile Cage Assembler introduced to UK Market
Whitelegg Machines, UK distributors for MEP SpA, Italy has launched the new GAM 1500 automatic pile cage assembler.
This compact machine allows just one operator to manufacture pile cages on a continuous basis. The longitudinal bars are speedily loaded from the storage racks into the machine heads via extending arms. The coil payoff unit unwinds the wire sat the correct tension to enable it to spiral around the longitudinal bars positioned in the ring matrix.
Continuous precision welding of spiral to bar is by fully automatic robot, with a manual option.
Fast changeover times from one cage to another are achieved by simple change over tools to adjust spiral pitch and cage width.
Production speeds are available on request. The GAM 1500 is suitable for cage diameters 100mm to 1500mm and cage lengths 12-21 Metres.
